Event Details
The earliest forms of printmaking have been traced back to China around 210 BCE using woodblock on silk. The art has been consistently used and developed over the centuries. Today, there are many different techniques used to transfer ink and/or paint from block to material!
Teens, join us in this exciting new program where we will be using printing plates made of gel. Although traditionally made from gelatin, new materials have made the gel plates more durable and reusable! There are so many different ways to use these plates, and we will be working through a few of them during this printmaking program.
Participants will leave with multiple prints that they will be able to display as they choose.
All participants will receive a digital raffle ticket for the summer reading program.
