In keeping with our Summer Reading theme of All Together Now, The Clark Public Library is setting a goal of making and donating 30 No-Sew Fleece Blankets for Project Linus.

This program date is for the Teen and Adult Blanket Prep Program (see below for details).

Help Us Reach Our Goal!

There are ways for everyone in our community to participate in our No-Sew blanket event:

  • Blanket Prep Program (Teen and Adult): Blanket Prep Programs will focus on preparing the fleece for cutting. This is includes getting the fleece to the correct size and preparing them for fringe.
  • Blanket Cutting Program (Teen and Adult): Help us create the fringe on the blankets and get them ready for tying.
  • Blanket Tying Program (All Ages): Let's join together as a community to finish the blankets and prepare them for donation. This program is great for any member of our community ages 8+ who is interested in helping us finish the blankets.
  • Unable to make one of our events? There are a few other ways that you can still participate:
    • Make a blanket at home and drop it off at the Clark Public Library before August 12th. You can find the material list and instructions on our website, or stop by the library for a paper copy.
    • Make a donation towards blanket supplies. Call us at 732-388-5999 for more information on how to donate directly to our All Together Now community project!
    • Make a donation directly to Project Linus. Make checks payable to Project Linus and write Union/Middlesex in the memo. This will ensure that your donation goes to our local chapter. We will be able to collect any checks and drop them off with the finished blankets in August.

The Clark Public Library will be donating the finished blankets to Project Linus, a local organization that collections blankets for children ages 0-18 who who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need. Our local chapter of Project Linus serves children at both the Rahway Hospital and JFK University Medical Center in Edison, ensuring that the blankets we make will go directly to children in our community.
